èßäAV

The DOH-PIDS Health Systems èßäAV Program was crafted to improve the capacity of the Department of Health (DOH) and the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PHIC) to formulate, implement, and monitor health policies supportive of the administrations Aquino Health Agenda (AHA) as articulated in the Universal Health Care (UHC)" Kalusugan Pangkalahatan (KP) launched in 2011.

The Health èßäAV component of the program seeks to provide evidence-based findings needed to steer the health system, to monitor existing health policies and programs, and to inform future policies and programs that the DOH and PHIC should consider. For this program, 28 studies have been implemented covering topics on health financing, attainment of MDGs, public-private partnerships on health, and health service delivery.

Several studies conducted under this program were presented in the regional forum on the Philippine Health Sector Performance held 28 October 2014 in Cebu City.
